- Salbutamol is used to treat asthma in adults.
- It works by widening the airways in the lungs to allow air in and out.
- This is known as a ‘reliever’ but you may use another asthma medicine to prevent you from having an attack, you can use Salbutamol alongside your ‘preventer’ medicine.
- You should use it when required to relieve symptoms.
- Take one puff as a starting dose and increase to two puffs if needed.
